it with more open notes (notes you don't have to press down on any frets to produce).

I recommend the first way since your hand is not moving all over the fret board.  But 
2nd way is worth a try.

Next we have the difficult version.  This is meant to be played without a pick.  Just 
each bass note once and let it ring out till you switch to the next chord.

Or you could just rock out with G C Emin C.  Those are the 4 chords of the song.  That
