Now the bass in fact rests here, however, if you fancy playing it 
I tap the note with my fretting hand, and rest your other hand.
I find it kinda simulates that synthy sound, also when you come to 
playing the final chorus as usual, its louder and more dramatic, 
if you know what I mean. A delay pedal on this bit would be pretty
sweet too if you happen to have one knocking around.
