This is the correct tab for this song and is in the original key of D as per the soundtrack. All the tabs I have seen are either wrong or require a capo or both! This tab uses no capo!

Please Note Fingering: the numbers in brackets “()” refer to the fret board fingering where 1=index finger, 2=second finger, 3 =ring finger, 4=pinky finger, T=thumb. The correct fingering is absolutely KEY to being able to play this riff fluidly (and hence easily) and also enables the open “ring tones” from the G and top E strings as in the original song. The third finger becomes the “anchor” of the riff and should therefore stay planted on the fret board once it moves to the third fret of the B string early on in the riff. Thereafter, fingers 1,2 and 4 just move around your anchored third (ring) finger to finish of the riff.
The riff is repeated throughout the verse ... and at the end of the riff you can go back to the start of the riff fluidly by keeping the 2nd finger planted on the G string and sliding it back up from the 2nd fret (at end of riff) to the 4th fret at the start of the riff….hope this makes sense!!
