Going Nowhere Chords & Tabs
Ok this is my first time doing this so give me a goddamn break…
this is the basic pattern I play for this beautiful song
but listen to it and throw in little extra variations
or whatever as you wish…
for instance I like to play Riff 1 Em Am at the very end
singing “going nowhere” like a thousand times
as it sounds very nice…
but covering this song has pretty much
directly gotten me laid twice so you should learn it…

(Riff 1) He waved hello (Riff 2) silent like a mime
(R1) We met, there's no (R2) changing my mind
(R1) I won't walk the (R2) stairs with you tonight
(R1)Going nowhere (R2 but play Riff 3 if you want)

(G) Saw you (D) move a (F) certain (C)
Way (Dm) missed (Am) you (F) a lot
(repeat)
Return to this abandoned place
Should have been (G) Forgot (F)
Verse II. (same pattern as verse I.)
Echoes drown the conversation out
Echoes that only seem to bring about
A silent expression
Things you may allow
Going nowhere
The steps made a pattern
I'd never seen
I felt like a kid of six or seventeen
I was off in some empty daydream
Going nowhere
Chorus II. (same pattern as v.I.)
It's dead and gone, matter of fact
Maybe for the best
Said some things you can't take back
Honestly I guess
Verse III. (same as above except end)
The old records
Sitting on the floor
The ones I can't
Put on anymore
He walked over to her like before
Going nowhere (riff 3)
Going nowhere (riff 3)
Going nowhere
