I'm not 100% how they get the sound for the main riff,
its almost like a real light palm mute but it doesn't really matter if
you don't.

Guitar 2 with just a little distortion and a little tremolo, or at least thats what i
like to me.
Play it really light on the 2nd verse and then harder on the 3rd verse.
