Song: Mmmbop
Artist: Hanson
Album: Middle Of Nowhere
I have seen so many versions of this tab and I can never find one that is quite right.
seems to think the Chords are A,D,E but they aren't really on the right track. I tabbed
directly from Underneath Acoustic Live - this is EXACTLY what Isaac plays on the
Acoustic. If you don't beleive me try it! It's perfect! You don't have to rate it - I
just want a
version of this song somewhere!
Capo 1 (sometimes they do 2nd fret - but first sounds good aswell)
Chords used:
D - xx0232
A - x02220
G - 320003 (To make playing the song easier, play the G with your 2nd and 3rd fingers
the 5th and 6th strings with your 4th finger on the 1st string)
Intro:
D A G A
------2-------0-------3-------0-------
--------3-------2-------0-------2-----
----2-----2-2-----2-0-----0-2-----2---
--------------------------------------
--------------------------------------
|--------------------------------------| x2
It sounds pretty cool if you hit the fourth string aswell - Isaac subtly also plays the
and 4th strings together sometimes - sounds really good. To get the best results - just
the chords...don't bother trying to work out fingering for it. It's easy to just get the
between each chord.
After He does that twice he starts strumming
D A G A
Play the intro over the following lyrics:
[ Tab from: https://www.guitartabs.cc/tabs/h/hanson/mmmbop_crd_ver_2.html ]
D A G
You have so many relationships in this life,
A
But only one or two will last.
D A G
You go through all the pain and strife,
A
Then you turn your back and they’re gone so fast.
Start strumming at the end of this.
D A G A x2
Oh yeah. they’re gone so fast.
D A G
Oh, so hold on to the ones who really care,
A
In the end they’ll be the only ones there.
D A G
When you get old and start losing your hair,
(Strumming here is tricky - listen for changes in song)
Can you tell me who will still care?
D (hit the D once)
Can you tell me who will still care? oh care.
Chorus:
D G
Mmmbop, ba duba dop ba do bop,
D
Ba duba dop ba do bop,
A
Ba duba dop ba do. oh yeah,
D G
Mmmbop ba duba dop ba do bop,
D
Ba duba dop ba do bop,
A
Ba duba dop ba do
Second Verse is the same as the first.
You can play this with the elecrtic or acoustic versions - Acoustic sounds mad if you
with the version from UAL. Anyway if you have any comments email me at
Cheers!
