Life is Peachy, last 6 songs, cont. from last time...
Artist: Korn
Tuning: ADGCFAD (seven string impaired, it sucks for you cause I'm the
last person who you'll find transcribing KORN in Drop D or something
on a six string. It sounds like crap. Thats all there is too it.)
Ok I'm picking up from where I left off. These last few songs are are
pretty simple, some weird effects here and there but its nothing to
worry about. plus two of them are cover songs. See the last version
for what effects you need overall and that kinda thing. Again this is
from a tab book with many, many, many corrections so if you find the
Life is Peachy tab book (its pretty rare) don't be surprised if some
songs look similar
No Place to Hide- awesome song, pretty easy too. You need two
guitarists though, definately. Gtr1 needs a Leslie effect, a weird
effect that Korn uses a buncha times last album. I don't know where
to get one so i've come up with substitutes that i covered on the last
version but here they are anyway: wah+chorus+tremolo picking, wah+fast
flanger, or wah+heavy vibrato (with a vibrato bar preferably). Guitar
two needs some form of phaser and a chorus pedal.
Intro:
Gtr1:
A-14/15--15/16--14/15--15/16--14/15-15/16-
F-17/18--18/19--17/18--18/19--17/18-18/19- repeat a few times
Gtr2 plays the same thing 2 steps (four frets) lower.
Bridge1:
Both guitars play this four times:
G-3/4--4/5--5/6--6/7--6/7-7/8-
D-3/4--4/5--5/6--6/7--6/7-7/8-
A-1/2--2/3--3/4--4/5--4/5-5/6-
After the fourth time gtr1 plays it another four times and gtr2 plays
it exactly one octave higher with a phaser
Verse: not much guitar here.
Gtr1:
High
A-18~~~/12-/18~~~/12-/18/12
Gtr2: Gtr 2 uses something called a torn speaker effect. Normally I'd
think the tab book is just jerkin me around but I've never heard any
thing like it. It sounds like the guitar has a sore throat or some
thing. Its very discordant and staticy and fuzzy. If you have a
clean-dirty pedal use that, if not just use regular distortion.
High
A-13----15--13-
Chorus: Gtr1 uses the Leslie thingy. Use one of the substitutes if you
dont have it. I recomend the wah/vibrato combo, its always sounded the
best for me, and i have to use my fingers because i dont have a
vibrato bar so i imagine it would sound that much better with one.
Gtr1's part is very dulled out be the effect so its hard to hear above
Gtr2's shrill screaming. Listen to the chorus carefully to get a good
ear for it. Gtr2 uses regular distortion. Palm mute the low notes in
both parts.

A.D.I.D.A.S. for such a popular song there arent that many versions on
this site and of course all of them are pretty wrong. The tab book
completely screwed up the prechorus and the chorus is made so that
you'd have to have seven fingers or and extra hand to play. So i made
everything easier:

Chorus: This is basically what the tab book says it is with a few
notes added and some taken out of the chords. It was transcribed so
low on the neck that it is extremely hard to finger and play keeping
up with the song. One guitar needs a chorus effect, both need
distortion. Both play the same thing though

Last two choruses: after the chorus plays once after the bridge they
do the chorus two more times and it sounds a little different. Gtr2
(head) plays a much heavier version of the chorus while Gtr1 (munky)
plays the original chorus riff. The last two choruses also sound
different because the bass and drums add a lot of stuff and so it
sounds faster.
This may not be right but it sounds ok and every time i've seen them
play it live this is what it looks like hes playing:
Gtr2: (some of the low notes might be powerchords)

LowRider: heres another cover song. Its really fun to play but I'm
just gonna give you the main riffs like with the last one.

Ass Itch: Prelude to the end of the song. Highly underrated song,
heavy and yet melodic, perhaps one of the more melodic songs on the
record especially in the chorus. Brutally heavy bridge too.
You need to be good at harmonics and have some pretty good fingering
skills for this song: You don't need any effects except a flanger for
the quick prechorus
Verse/Intro Gtr1: during intro only this plays

Chorus: the chords in both guitars parts are murder on your fingers,
and the ones in the tab book for gtr 2's part were even worse. You'd
need six fingers or hands as big as your head to finger some of the
chords. so i transcribed them higher up on the neck to make them at
least manageable:
Gtr1:
D------0---0--0- repeat however many times
A------0---0--0-

Interlude- they use something the tab book calls an octave divider on
the last note. Since i have no other explanation for the sound
(the effect allows them to hold out the note without it dieing out
at all for over 10 seconds) I guess thats what it is. If you don't
have it just let it die out or tremolo pick it. Or use a delay/fdbk.
