Standard Tuning
Very basic song revolving around the progression of A B D. This tab is a bit
wordy, but I think that's better than having people possibly confused.
Intro
e|----------------------------------------------|
B|----------------------------------------------|
G|-6--6-6666666666-----------------------7---9--| 2 times
D|-777777777777777----9-99999----12--11---------|
A|-000000000000000----0-00000----0---0----------|
E|----------------------------------------------|
e|-------------------------------------------|
B|-------------------------------------------|
G|----6-6h7p6----6-6h7p6----------7-6-7-9----| 2 times
D|-77---------77----------9-99999------------|
A|-------------------------------------------|
E|-------------------------------------------|
Verse 1
e|------|
B|------|
G|-6~---|
D|-7~---|
A|-0~---|
E|------|
Keep strumming this every so often. Occasionally there is a D powerchord
thrown into the mix and the open b and e strings are also strummed sometimes.
Verse 2 ("are old rituals")
e|------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|-666666666666666666666666666666---8888888888888---7777777777777---| 4 times
D|-777777777777777777777777777777---9999999999999---7777777777777---|
A|-777777777777777777777777777777---9999999999999---5555555555555---|
E|-555555555555555555555555555555---7777777777777-------------------|
You don't have to add the 6's and 8's on the g string, but I think it sounds
better. Every other part of this song follows this exact progression, it's
just a matter of how many times it is played. So instead of copying these
lines over and over, I'll just tell you how many progressions to play.
Bass riff play progression twice
Chorus play progression 4 times

Verse 3 ("Can everything in some way") play progression 4 times

E|-555555555555555555555555555555---7777777777777-------------------|
With a lot of mutes and accents
Then play around with the chord from verse 1. I play something like this,
but as long as you stay within these notes it should be fine
e|----------0---------------------0-----------------------|
B|-------------0--------------------0---------------------|
G|-6~----6--------6---7--7---6---------6--7--6--6h7p7-----|
D|-7~----7---------------7---7-------------------------7--|
A|-7~----0-------------------0----------------------------|
E|-5~-----------------------------------------------------|
Play the chorus twice more, then...
Outro
e|-------------------------------------------|
B|-------------------------------------------|
G|----6-6h7p6----6-6h7p6----------7-6-7-9----|
D|-77---------77----------9-99999------------|
A|-------------------------------------------|
E|-------------------------------------------|
e|-----------------------------------------------------|
B|-----------------------------------------------------|
G|----6-6h7p6----6-6h7p6-----------7-7-6-6-7-7-9-9--6~-|
D|-77---------77----------9-99999--7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7--7~-|
A|--------------------------------------------------7~-|
E|--------------------------------------------------5~-|
****NOTE:after verses 2 and 3 there is an extra measure(4 beats) before the
bass riff. It goes by quick, but it's hard to make out exactly what's being
played there. If you just play an A powerchord, or a pickscrape, or strum
across muted strings it should sound fine.
Hope you enjoy it. Please leave comments/corrections and don't forget to rate the tab!
