Tuning: D#G#C#F#A#D#

This transcription of Bleed To Love Her is based on the version found on Fleetwood Macs
live album The Dance, where all strings are tuned down a half step. There are also
several live performances of Lindsey playing this solo on YouTube and there is at least
one in this tuning, however, the middle 8 as sung on the album is quite high and Ive found
another YouTube clip where Lindsey has the guitar tuned down a full step DGCFAD which
you might want to experiment with if you’re going to be singing.

Then repeat Intro/Verse x2
Then repeat Chorus (parts 1 and 2) as written

Middle 8

Depending on which clip you watch, Lindsey plays this two different ways !
With the version on the album its really hard to distinguish what hes doing with the
rest of the band playing at the same time. On the YouTube clip where hes tuned down half a
step, he basically plays the second half of the Intro/Verse riff minus two notes, like this...

Middle 8 (version 1)

e|------0-----0----------0-----0-----------0-----0--------0----0----------|
B|-------------------------------------------------------0----0-----------|
G|----2-----2-----2----2-----2-----2----2-----2-----2--------------2------|
D|------------------------------------0-----0------0----------------------|
A|--0-----0-----0----4-----4-----4----------------------------------------|
E|-----------------------------------------------------0----0----0--------|

On the YouTube clips where hes tuned down a full step, he seems to prefer moving up the
neck, something like this...

Middle 8 (version 2)

e|------0-----0----------0-----0------------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------7----7--------9---9--------------|
G|----2-----2-----2----6-----6-----6----7----7----7---9---9---9-----------|
D|------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|--0-----0-----0----4-----4-----4----5----5----5----7---7---7------------|
E|------------------------------------------------------------------------|

Personally, Ive been playing a combination of both, staying down the neck as in version
1 but trying to make the higher strings do something a little different so the melody
stands out more and gives that sense of variation from the main riff as in version 2.

This is what I play...

Middle 8 (version 3)

e|------0-----0----------4-----4---------2-----2----------4----4----------|
B|------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|----2-----2-----2----2-----2-----2---2-----2-----2----1----1----1-------|
D|------------------------------------0-----0-----0----2----2----2--------|
A|--0-----0-----0----4-----4-----4----------------------------------------|
E|------------------------------------------------------------------------|

Whichever version you choose, the Middle 8 is played four times and then go back and
keep repeating part 1 of the Chorus as many times as you like, on the record it’s about
nine times.

Finish the song on a single strum of A major

e|---0--^--|
B|---2--|--|
G|---2--|--|
D|---2--|--|
A|---0--|--|
E|---x-----|

Enjoy !
