This is what I came up with after hearing this song on the end of the
Knocked up DVD. (Best part of the whole film... lol)
It is in the right key cos I played along to it once I had it figured out.
Play it mostly up on the 6th and 8th frets, that way you can go
down to F at the first fret where he sings about the house smelling
like a wet dog. Have fun
Grey in L.A
A# F D# A#
When it's grey in L.A. I sure like it that way
D# A# F
Cause there's way too much sunshine round here
A# F D# A#
I don't know about you I get so sick of blue skies
D# F A#
Wherever they always appear
A# F D# A#
And I sure love the sound of the rain pouring down
D# A# F
On my carport roof made out of tin
A# F D# A#
If there's a flood then there's gonna be mudslides
D# F A#
We all have to pay for our sin
D# A# D# A#
And I suppose that they'll close canyon roads
D# A# F
And the freeways will all start to clog
D# A# D# A#
And the waters will rise and you won't be surprised
D# A# F
When your whole house smells like your wet dog

A# F D# A#
When it's grey in L.A. it's much better that way
D# A# F
It reminds you that this town's so cruel
A# F D# A#
Yeah it might feel like fun when you're sportin' sunglasses
D# F A#
But really you're just one more fool
A# F D# A#
I'm just a chump this whole town's a dump
D# A# F
We came out here to dump all our dreams
A# F D# A#
Of making it big but we're stuck in a sig alert nightmare
D# F A#
That's just how it seems
D# A# D# A#
And I suppose Laurie David sure knows
D# A# F
All those cars we drive heat up our earth
D# A# D# A#
And sea temperatures rise and those constant blue skies
D# A# F
And brush fires can sure curb your mirth
A# F D# A#
Brad Grey's in L.A. yeah OK I should stay here
D# A# F
There's no place that's better i know
A# F D# A#
For a wannabe star stuck in a car
D# F A#
On a freeway with nowhere to go
Repeat 1st verse
