On the super-funky 1974 Album Rejuvenation, The Meters hit us with
Jungle Man. We love the simplicity of this song, and of course the
stripped down but powerful drums really make this track. Leo
Nocentelli's guitar is overdriven and crunchy, and this whole track
just blows you out of the water. If you don't find your head
bobbing up and down to that chorus, check your pulse.
The song is fairly straight-forward, a verse section, a very
small pre-chorus, and a chorus make up the track.
