Our Lady Peace "Neon Crossing" Performance Notes:
The arrangement for this song is very simple but, a couple of the riffs
are a bit tough
to nail down. If the intro riff is a bit tough to nail down at that
specific rhythm, then
try inputting your own stle into it. I think I TABbed it in the timing that
Mike plays it
in Riff 2 is a bit buried under the verses and is yet to be figured out by
me. I will
work on it soon. My brain couldn't take the song anymore so I opted to post
it as is and
get to work on another song off of the album. Riff 3 was very tough to get.
I thought
it sounded a bit different each time I heard it. I tried it at different EQ
settings and
I also slowed it down to half-speed with a four-track recorder. I'm hoping
this is right.
I've watched Mike play it before but, I decided to transcribe it now rather
than when the
band was on tour and I could actually watch him play it. How stupid can I
get! I do
vaguely recall him playing it in the A-chord position that I've TABbed it
in. I was curious
back then and tried to watch. The other parts of the song are very simple
to reproduce.
Just watch the slight chord placement changes in the chorus. Happy jamming!!!
