Pantera - The Sleep
Made a minor correction at the end of this (I had C# and D instead of
D and Eb, oops). It's hard typing this stuff in without a guitar handy.
Most of the power chords here I have typed in as just the root or with the
fifth but test 'em all out - you may have to add octaves of both in some
cases.
The acoustic parts I'm still very unsure about but the rest sounds fine.
Every part of the heavy riffs for this song sould be in here somewhere,
so play away and please provide anything extra that might be worked out.
Intro - acoustic guitar

E----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bass note changes to that F there ----^ but I don't know how it is
being played maybe the guitar stays the same but the bass changes.
Somebody please tell me what to do.
This is what I play at the moment.

The marked section is the main riff with that last bit on the end there
being left off every second time. That 3 chord lead-in has heavy palm
muting and is used several times in the song.

Marked section is main riff for chorus sometimes the A chord is played
again a few times at the end
The following 3 riffs are played during the solo
D-----------------------7-----7----------------------
A---7-----7\-x-3-----3--5-5-5-5-x-5---5-6------------
E---5-5-5-5\---1-1-1-1------------3-3-3-4------------

g----------------------------3------4----------------
D---2--2--2------------2--2--3------4----------------
A---2--2--2------------2--2--1---2--2----------------
E---0--0--0------------0--0------0-------------------
There is a bit of acoustic guitar behind this that I would like somebody
to add.
At end of solo whammy bar dive on open E
and then..
s s s dive
D------------4/5--4/5--------4---4/5-4------7---8------------
A---2--4--5--2/3--2/3--2-2-2-2-x-2/3-2----x-5-x-6------------
E---0--2--3--------------------------------------------------
Then play it out 'til the end using some of the above riffs.
