Version: 1 Type: Tab

My Vietnam Tab

P!Nk -- My Vietnam
Missundaztood

[Standard Tuning, no capo]

Chords Used:
Bmin :224462
Bmsus:224460
D :x00232
A :x02220
F# :244322
Emin :022001

This technique is sorta weird, but once you get it down
it'll sound pretty darn good. After the Regular Bmin,
you kinda of lift up the back of your hand to make the open
string for the high e string.

Bmin/Bminsus Riff (also opening riff)
e|---2---0------2---0-----------------
b|-------3----------3-----------------
g|-----4----------4-------------------
d|------------------------------------
a|-2--------0h2-----------------------
E|------------------------------------

D/Dsus Riff A/Asus Riff F#/F#sus Riff
e|---2---0- e|---0----0- e|---2---0-
b|-------3- b|--------2- b|---------
g|-----2--- g|-----2---- g|-----3---
d|-0------- d|---------- d|---------
a|--------- a|-0-------- a|---------
E|--------- E|---------- E|-2-------

Verses:
--You'll use the Bm/Bmsus riff all the way from "Daddy was a
soldier..." all the way to "peace and all the great things that
we take advantage of..." part.

--For "once I fed the homeless..." to "the look upon their faces as
I treated them with respect..." part, the chord procession will be:

D/Dsus A/Asus
Bm/Bmsus F#/F#sus

D/Dsus A/Asus
Bm/Bmsus F#/F#sus

--After this, you'll go right into the chorus. Do yourself a favor
and play along with the cd. it'll be so much easier.

Okay. Now that you have the riffs, you just plug them in
to the right places in the song. If you listen to the cd
while you play it'll be alot easier. However, when you get
into the chorus it gets a little trickier.

Chorus:
[ Tab from: https://www.guitartabs.cc/tabs/p/pink/my_vietnam_tab.html ]
e|-----2-0-----------2-0---------3---0h2---------2---0-
b|---------3---3---------3---3-----0-----3-------------
g|---4-------4-----2-------2---------------2-------3---
d|---------------0-------------2-------------0---------
a|-2---------------------------------------------------
E|---------------------------------------------2------- x2

--Now for the middle 8 part, it's a little different and it's
strummed. The chords are as follows:

[short intro]
Emin	Bmin
Emin	Bmin

Emin	Bmin
what do you exspect from me

Emin	Bmin
What Am I not giving you

Emin Bmin
What could I do for you to make

Bmin F#
me okay in your eyes...

--I dont' know if you want the little guitar fill in the intro of
the middle 8, so i'll put it anyways.

e|-3-2-2-0---------------3-2-2-0------------
b|---------3------3-3------------3----------
g|-----------2h4------4----------------2-2-4
d|---------------------------------2h4------
a|------------------------------------------
E|------------------------------------------

and towards the end of the middle 8, it sorta goes like this.

e|-3-2-2-0--------0-2-3-2-------------------
b|---------3-0--3---------------------------
g|------------------------------------------
d|------------------------------------------
a|------------------------------------------
E|------------------------------------------

[chorus]

Lyrics:

[verse1]
Daddy was a soldier
He taught me about freedom
Peace and all the great things that we
take advantage of

Once I fed the homeless
I'll never forget
the look upon their faces as I
Treated them with respect

[chorus]
This is my vietnam
I'm at war
Life keeps on dropping bombs
and I keep score

[verse 2]
Momma was a lunatic
She liked to push my buttons
She said I wasn't good enough but I
guess I wasn't trying

Never liked school that much
They tried to teach me better
but I just wasnt hearin it because
I thought I was already pretty clever

[Middle 8]
What do you exspect from me
what am I not giving you
What could I do for you to
make me okay in your eyes
