Drift and Die -- Puddle of Mudd: Db tuning
NOTE: This song is certainly not as easy as the tabs on this site lead
one to believe...especially for the lone acoustic guitarist. So,
here are some "tips." On the intro riff, play the Dm-2 chord
with your first and your third fingers. Next, add your second
finger to form the D2 chord. Now, you're probably struggling
between "dugh" and "no dugh." Please wait. To form the Dm2/C
chord, slide your first finger "up" to the 6th fret on the second
string and hit the 8th fret of the low "E" with your pinky. Leave
your second finger dangling, and "drape" your pinky over the 5th string
to mute it while strumming all strings except the high "e." Your
pinky and the "open D fourth string" form the power on this chord
and should ring loud and clear. Now, to form the Dm2/B chord,
use that dangling second finger to hit the 7th fret of the low "E"
while removing the pinky.
