Hi there. This is my first tab to post online and I hope it is alright for all you hard
Red Hot Chili Peppers fans out there like myself. If you have a better tab or if you
you can do a better one, or even if you just won't to make a few corrections on mine, feel
free to email me on spannerdan@hotmail.com
OK then. This is one of my favorite Chili Peppers songs and although there is already a
tab of this song I thought i might do my version with a little help from a book! There
technically four guitars in this song, John likes to use the Jimmy Page technique of recording
many separate guitar parts and layering them over each other. The name Jimmy
it is 'The Guitar Army'! But if you don't have a recording studio and all the stuff, like myself
and you just want to play it live while singing or at home or whatever, then I'll give you the main
acoustic guitar first on its own and the solo part from the electric as well. The rest of the tab
for all the instruments is quite long so I won't tab it, unless
is a want for it!
Guitar 1 - Standard tuning(low to high) Acoustic
Guitar 2 - Standard tuning. Electric with mild distortion, probably around low to medium area of
gain.

Guitar1 plays basically the same thing as rhy fig 3 with only small differences that i
want to have to tab. Besides when I play it live or at home i never play it exactly as
is in the tab. Just jam with it and make it up as you go along. A good guitarist is a
guitarist who can improvise!

But to help you, just think of how a tab book or magazine is laid out. For example in
first chorus you have separate endings, which is noted as '1.' or '2.' So for the first
lyrical part you end it with 1., and the second, you end with 2. it should be clear.
