STEREOPHONICS - DEVIL
Standard tuning. The solo parts could be done with a whammy bar
but I've written it as slides for the people with less guitar gear.
INTRO/VERSE
The piano part of the intro goes like this:-
e]-------------------------------------|
B]---7--------7--------7--------7------|
G]-9---9----9---9----9---9----9---9----|
D]-------------------------------------|
A]-------9--------9--------9--------9--|
E]-------------------------------------|
e]-------------------------------------|
B]---7--------7--------7--------7------|
G]-7---9----7---9----7---9----7---9----|
D]-------------------------------------|
A]-------9--------9--------9--------9--|
E]-------------------------------------|
And the guitar can just strum these shapes.
The pre-chorus guitar part comes in
('Can I buy you a drink there lady?')

e]------- e]-------|

E]------- x4 E]-------| x4

E]-------| x4
an eight to the bar B5 chord seems to do for the
final bar before the chorus.
CHORUS
Bm | A | Em | A
and just before it cuts back to the verse theres a little variation
Asus4 A Asus4
e]-0-0-0-|
B]-3-2-3-|
G]-2-2-2-|
D]-2-2-2-|
A]-0-0-0-|
E]-------|
Everything repeats through again until the solo at 2:53
e]-------------------|
B]-------------------|
G]-------------------|
D]-2s4--5s7--7s9-7s9-|
A]-------------------| x4
..and again until the solo at 4:10
e]-/7--/9--/10--/12-- (play each note six times)
then the fade out is based on these two licks...
e]-------17-------17-17-----|
B]-17b19----17b19-------r17-|
D]--------------------------|
e]-------17-------17-------------|
B]-17b19----17b19----17b19 17b19-|
D]-------------------------------|
...and you're done.
Abe.
