The opening riff includes a vibrato A note. This becomes an A5 when you open out into the verse riff,
making the whole thing shound much bigger and more exciting.

The first of the rhythm solos follows two positions of the AM pentatonic scale. Only your first and
third fingers are required, making it easy to see the shapes when you change position. Also use
alternate picking to make the playing easier.

The use of palm-muting is effective in creating tension and release (when you play the vibrato chords)
so make sure you really play upon these differences. Be careful at the end of the riff, as the final
bar comes in slightly early.

This highly melodic solo interlude is all harmonised in thirds (i've tabbed the higher part for your
reference), which gives you the classic Thin Lizzy sound. There are a lot of pull-offs to contend
with, but note the lack of hammer-ons. This is probably to create a stronger attack on some of the
notes.
